Located along Hwy 1 in the heart of Big Sur, CA, Pfeiffer Beach is accessed at the end of a long windy road. The road to the beach is lined by large cliffs, mountains, and beautiful trees. Once on the beach you will notice a slight plum-like color in the sand caused by the stunning eroding cliffs above which contain manganese garnet rocks. The main feature of the beach is the large rock formations just off the shore and a huge keyhole arch which provide a stark contrast to this stunning coastline.
