Artist's Description
As the sun approached the horizon, setting to the west, the waves began to illuminate from the back. This crashing wave blocked out the sun from my point of view as I prepared to submerge myself to escape the wave. Marine Street Beach in La Jolla, CA is know for it's power shore break and breathtaking sunsets. For a period of time this beach was my home away from home.
About Daniel Politte
Based out of Southern California I have access to some of the most pristine coastlines in the United States. Chasing the morning and evening light along this stretch of beaches is my focus. Color and texture are the goal of my art as I tend to see the world differently than most. Life is a journey and thus so is art! My passion was bodyboarding so my journey started with a GoPro that I could mount to my board. A few years later, I was bit by the photog bug and really dug in. I upgraded my gear and found my stride processing the images I have been collecting. This collection of images are my absolute favorites.
